We are all facing a completely new world at present - with uncertainty around the future on a personal and societal level, threats to our health and those we care about, separation from friends & family and being left with far more time to our thoughts and emotions, without distraction. There has never been a more important time to invest in the mental health of your employees - to enhance their well-being and protect your business. 

 

Even before COVID,  1 in 7 people were experiencing mental health problems in the workplace and evidence suggests that 12.7% of all sickness absence days in the UK can be attributed to mental health conditions, which costs UK businesses up to 8 billion pounds per year. This is likely to be greatly increased with the additional challenges we're all facing, at work and at home. 

 

The good news however is that studies show that introducing a workplace intervention for employees in the form of seminars, webinars and workshops results in over a 8:1 return on investment over a two year period, due to reduced presenteeism (lost productivity due to poor health at work) and absenteeism.
